Back in November, reports of Justin Bieber's newest tattoo surfaced. It was a big move, too: the new ink was supposedly on his face, it was a tribute to his then-fiancée (and now-wife) Hailey Baldwin, and it was during the summer of quickie engagements and weddings. But until now, we haven't gotten a clear shot of the tat. According to People, celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy used a shot of Bieber as a way to reflect on 2018, giving everyone a chance to see exactly what it looks like in all of its glory.
The tiny tattoo is above his right eyebrow and says "grace" in a very delicate script font. Fans have been waiting since November to see it clearly, since they've only gotten fleeting glimpses of it from paparazzi shots. Bieber wasn't helping the cause, either. He was covering up with beanies as the tattoo healed, obscuring it from prying eyes.
JonBoy is a celeb favorite. Not only have Bieber and Baldwin gone under his needle, Kendall Jenner, Travis Scott, and Zayn Malik have also been customers. But while JonBoy may have posted the photo, it seems that another celeb-loved tattooer gave Bieber his grace. BangBang, real name Keith McCurdy, told Page Six back in November that he was the one to give Bieber and Baldwin their "nontraditional" couple's tattoo.
"They each got a tattoo," McCurdy said at the time. "Justin's tattoo is on his face, and I haven’t seen any photos of it — so he’s doing a good job of laying low." He added that it was "thin and delicate" and up along Bieber's eyebrow.
The text joins Bieber's other face tattoo, a cross over his left eye, and the more than 60 other pieces that he has scattered across his body. Baldwin's well on her way to catching up, with 19 of her own tattoos.
