Peta Gibb was born on 25th January 1978 in the United States to her parents, Andy Gibb and Kim Reeder. She was born into a family of singers. Her father Andy Gibb was one of the most extraordinary musical talents of the 70s and 80s. 3. Her Father Died When She Was 10
On the 10th March 1988, tragedy struck, and Peta Gibb lost her father. He died due to myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, occasioned by his long years of drug abuse.
Sadly, Gibb’s daughter was 10 years old at the time the news of her father’s demise reached Australia. Peta said when they heard her father is dead, there was a commotion in the house as no one was able to sleep that night.
Her father’s passing was described by many as untimely. He was at the peak of his career, but then the drugs he has been abusing took a toll on him.
Her mother on the other hand said she wasn’t surprised by the news of his sudden demise. She said she knew a day would come when she will get a phone call with sad news such as that.
